T. rex by Zemie T. rex by Zemie
arvalis.deviantart.com/art/T..… arvalis's new t rex is so amazing i wanted to try drawing one also. honestly all his art is soo good i stare at it for hours every day. fact
I didn't use a reference for this really but i swear I've seen this exact pose before but i couldnt find it
still figuring out the anatomies. I think this is the best I've ever gotten a t rex head especially in proportion to the body but the tail and legs still look a mess. skin texture? whats that?
feathers are so fun to draw i wish i had finished this up some more but it's just a sketch

Amazong? More like a Looney Tunes character mixed with 19th century science, some grizzly bear featured, and popular 1950's hysteria.

Shit man, calm down, why you gotta hate modern science like that? And grizzly bears?

I do not hate modern science. I am simply stating that Tyrannosaurus had no need for lips such as this. I believe you may need to compare the skulls of a lizard with a T-Rex.

s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/5…

Now Tyrannosaurus's upper teeth are covering the teeth of the lower jaw and the lower halves of those upper teeth are longer. Then look at the lizard skull and notice that this is not the same case as we see in the T-Rex. We can conclude that Tyrannosaurus's upper teeth will have the lower half of their upper teeths exposed. Also notices that reptiles regrow their teeth throughout their lives (alligators, for example: www.usnews.com/news/articles/2…). Notice also that birds, who are closely related to dinosaurs, have beaks instead of lips. We can therefore conclude that Tyrannosaurus or any other large theropod would have no need for lips as their teeth would regrow throughout their life time.

Okay, that argument is odd, as it seems that you use the fact that they loose their teeth as an argument against lips, but animals with both lips (lizards) and no lips (crocodilians) loose their teeth. This makes your argument contradictory.
There is also your argument that T. rex teeth cover part of the lower jaw, and there fore can't have lips, which is odd because Komodo Dragons have lips and their teeth cover part of the lower jaw as well (www.connecticutvalleybiologica…).
And your last statement is the most absurd, and wrong. Birds are very specialised and odd dinosaurs, with beaks being evolved in the late Cretaceous, and cannot be applied to a dinosaur who's most recent common ancestor lived 100 million years before it existed. It's also wrong as birds do, in fact, have lips, clearly seen at the base of this hawk's beak (animalia-life.com/data_images/…).

Komodo dragons don't have the same teeth as Tyrannosaurus. Or do I have to show this 1998 research about the lips.

You contradict yourself by complaining about "outdated" ideas, yet you use an article from almost 18 years ago, without any sources. It is also odd that you used a lizard in your first argument, yet you say it's an unfair argument when I use it.

Your point fails when you say "T-Rex" instead of "T. rex"....

So don't even try to act like a well trained/learned/humped researcher. Are you the second fake account of Thiago? Like the lipless Dovahkiin?

...He's okay with lips now, if they're done in the right way in his opinion...
